The 2025 Conway Riverfest returns to the banks of the Waccamaw River on Saturday, June 28, bringing with it a full day of summer fun, live music, local flavor, and patriotic pride. This beloved annual tradition, now in its 45th year, transforms historic downtown Conway, South Carolina, into a festive riverfront celebration for all ages.
Festivities begin at 10 a.m. with the popular Paddle Battle river races, where paddlers of all skill levels compete on the scenic Waccamaw. At 11 a.m., the Opening Ceremonies take place with the National Anthem and a color guard presentation to set the patriotic tone for the day. Soon after, the annual Golf Cart Parade winds its way through downtown streets, decked out in red, white, and blue.
Throughout the day, the festival grounds will be buzzing with activity. Attendees can browse a wide selection of handmade goods and local businesses at the artisan market and business expo along Elm Street and Marina Drive. The food court and beer garden offer tasty bites and cold drinks, with wristbands required for those 21 and older.
For families, the Kids Zone is packed with entertainment including inflatables, games, face painting, and more. Local performers and dance troupes take the stage during the afternoon, leading up to an exciting evening music lineup. Matt Parker & The Deacons and The Spooklights warm up the crowd before the headlining act, Night Ranger, takes the stage at 8 p.m. for a free concert full of classic rock hits.
The night wraps up with a spectacular fireworks show over the river beginning at 9:30 p.m., capping off a full day of hometown celebration. Admission is free, and all are welcome to join the fun. For more information, visit the Conway Chamber of Commerce website at www.conwayscchamber.com.
