Older building, enjoyable, great ocean front room Our room had new carpet and furniture! Bathroom needed a bit more attention! Over all clean. Enjoyed the tiki bar in the pool area! Disappointed to see bioengineered food served at breakfast! It’s a older place but they are updating. Enjoyed our stay

Spectacular Ocean Views Gorgeous view and the balcony is protected so you don't get the wind as bad. Beds are comfy and it's close to everything. The continental breakfast is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. You can't beat free parking.

There's a reason I keep coming back! It's the perfect beach hotel, and a comfortable stay every time (I've been visiting at least twice a year for the last 5 years). The staff is wonderfully accommodating and friendly, and the location can't be beat! Nothing fancy--although the rooms are getting renovated, even as we speak--but you can't beat this beachfront hotel for the price and convenience.

Best Western-February Always stay here on our almost monthly trips to Myrtle Beach! The hotel is very nice, the rooms are always comfortable and clean, and the staff, from the front desk to maintenance are always very friendly and efficient and helpful.

Wonderful stay oceanfront with the best hot breakfast! What a great oceanfront hotel with the best hot breakfast at a reasonable price! Entire staff is awesome, they make you feel right at home. Housekeeping is great, and Dan the manager is especially awesome and so easy to work with. I highly recommend to anyone.

Nice stay This was our first stay since 2018 at this property. We stayed in room 1011 on January 23rd and 24th. The location has limited parking at the building but has a parking area across the street.

We are Best Western Diamond Select members and our room was automatically upgraded upon check in. The 10th floor views are beautiful

We did have some comments about the room upon departure, none of which had an impact on our stay. We always take into consideration the location and time of year, yet like to let staff know if something in the room may need attention Front desk staff was appreciative of the information

We did not utilize the breakfast at the hotel.

It’s very visible the hotel is doing the yearly winter paint and refresh. Our room had been recently painted and looked great. We also noticed all the light fixtures appeared new and were very bright.

Everything we needed to utilize in our room worked appropriately

As a tip the water needs to be ran for a while during the winter to get the hot water flowing especially being on the 10th floor. Also, light switches for the kitchen can be found behind the microwave and on the wall at the refrigerator.

Winter escape Stayed at Best Western Ocean Sands for a quick winter getaway from the cold at home. Enjoyed some great seafood and post holiday shopping.
North Myrtle Beach is nice and quiet this time of year and really enjoyed our getaway

January stay The view from my room was spectacular. The king size beds were extremely comfortable. The room was extremely clean. I loved staying there. I will definitely be back. The breakfast was hot and delicious and very clean as well. The housekeepers were amazing the breakfast attendants were amazing and the front desk attendants were amazing also.

Clean comfortable rooms Great oceanfront view, great location near restaurants on the Hwy 17 strip, and shopping at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach. Really great breakfast. Clean comfortable rooms. We will definitely stay there again. More

Update-Normally a great hotel I wanted to let folks know, the manager did email back to me in 2 days and gave me a credit to my credit card for our inconvenience .He apologized for the inconvenience during our stay. Based on prior experiences at Ocean Sands (especially the wonderful staff) we will stay at the hotel on our next visit to North Myrtle Beach.

Even during the offseason, the BW shines! Had a one-day stop in late November in North Myrtle Beach, so I went to my go-to for R&R, and it didn't disappoint. From the enthusiastic way they treat returning visitors, to the way every staff member takes the time to greet you, to the care that's taken in making their (admittedly older) hotel so clean and comfortable. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Good Location Good location close to beach. We would stay here again when visiting this area. Parking was a bit difficult, just have to use lot across the street. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Could not use the pool too much rain.

Tiki Bar a Hit The bartender at the TIKI bar made our 3 day trip a happy one. Her name is Kirsten and she is a hoot. Very lady like and knew her places to go around the beach. She pointed us to the right places. She is very likable and if you get the chance stop by and see her for a bit
